Born in 1898 on the far stretching bank of the Mighty Brahmaputra Prof. Krishna KantaHandiqui was a scholar with international repute. For the profundity of his knowledge in oriental languages and most specially in Sanskrit, he is rightly eulogised as Prachyavidyarnava. Named after this versatile genius and towering personality Krishna KantaHandiqui junior College comes into being at the heart of Pathsala under Barpeta District to commemorate the values and journeys explored by this scholar of worldwide fame, in the year 2006 as a result of the untiring zeal and sincere effort of a group of educated and enthusiastic youth. The institution sincerely aims at imparting quality education to the students of both Arts and Science streams and also at creating them as proper human resource which has of utmost necessity in the present context to heal ihn niling been and the world as well. Since its initial period K. K. Handiqui Jr. College has been evincing brilliantly brilliant performance in the last H. S. Final Examinations even topping the list of the first tenth position holders both in Arts and Science every year, which has inspired us to start K. K. Handiqui Degree College in Arts faculty in 2012 with Major in all Arts subjects. This inspiring result also enthused us to start K. K. Handiqui Primary, High School (Assamese & English medium) in the year 2010 which is running in the same campus.

Management of those three educational institutions is essentially committed to provide all possible educational facilities to the students so that they can keep pace with the progress of this fast changing globalized world and also to create a congenial atmosphere for the educational, physical, spiritual and moral health of the students.

Recognized by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council in 2012 vide its Letter No. AHSEC/RPR RRC/60/70/ 99259942 dt 06/09/2012 K. K. Handiqui Jr. College is run and managed by AIKIDO' Society, an NGO bearing registration no. RS BAR/237/F/83of 2005-06. The authority running these above named educational institutions has firm determination to carry forward the tradition of quality education and educational excellence in the present globalized world of keen competition and in this respect our guiding spirit the great teaching of the Upanishada.
